By utilizing the massive blue sky as a clean canvas of negative space, the eye is drawn directly to the pointed apex of the hidden church tower. The harshness of the late afternoon sun was perfectly diffused by thin veil clouds, casting a soft glow over the textures of the Zoutelande dunes. Keeping the image in colour allowed the deep blue and the rich green grass to frame this solitary architectural detail in absolute harmony.
