The Impending Silence
True fine art photography often explores the subtle, early signs of transition. Captured during the height of summer, this monochrome study documents the exact moment I realised this lone tree was fading away. Whilst the surrounding fields were full of life, its branches remained completely bare against a heavy, leaden sky. Stripping the scene of colour emphasizes the stark, graphic silhouette and that beautiful, distinctive bend in the trunk.
