Strandby Kirke

Surrounded by a sea of negative space, this historic white Danish church peaks out from behind a crest of wild summer grass. Shooting in the harsh glare of noon presented a technical hurdle, but it also offered a magnificent, sharp sidelight that perfectly models the structure. I chose to keep this piece in full colour to honour the raw contrast of the day—where a polariser filter was utilised to lock in a deep, endless sky that holds a quiet dialogue with the glowing warmth of the earth below.
