The Shape of the Wind
When a pale evening sky offeres very little colour, a monochrome conversion allowes the pure form of this Dutch windmill to dominate the frame. To elevate the scene, a long exposure was used to blur the passing clouds, capturing a tangible sense of the wind that drives both the sky and the sails. Those sails, resting momentarily in a perfect cross, signal a brief pause in the miller’s day, transforming an everyday cultural landmark into an evocative, peaceful dialogue in greyscale.
