I had this specific composition in mind for quite some time, but it required the right atmosphere to truly work. For me, visual separation is key; I always look for a bright background behind my subject to make the details stand out. Enduring another downpour paid off when the elements finally aligned. The dramatic dark clouds on the left provide a powerful contrast, while the brighter patch of sky perfectly isolates the two trees, creating a beautiful, serene balance.
