Breaking Light
Standing alone on a gentle slope, this tree has become a familiar friend in my photography. To capture it framed by the setting sun requires precise timing and alignment. On this particular evening, the sky provided the ultimate drama. As the saying goes, “A great sunset needs a cloudy sky” — the heavy clouds didn’t block the light, but rather shaped it, sending brilliant beams of gold piercing through the darkness.
